Jeff is a current Police Officer/ retired SWAT Operator/ Sniper in a suburb of North Dallas, TX. He has been a police officer for 27 years, a SWAT operator for 25 years, and a sniper for the SWAT team for 24 years. He holds a Master Peace Officer License and is a TCOLE-certified instructor, firearms instructor, and Texas Department of Public Safety-certified LTC Handgun Instructor. He has been the adjunct instructor for numerous Craft International classes including sniper and combative courses.

He was a lead instructor for Craft International at several civilian classes with an emphasis on pistol/carbine classes before Chris passed away. He has provided training for individuals ranging from private citizens to SWAT and military personnel. He competes heavily in competitions all over the United States including SWAT competitions, sniper competitions, three gun matches, USPSA, and Steel Challenge. Being a competitive shooter has provided him with a special skill set that allows him to teach a wide variety of shooting techniques from new shooters, to home defense, to high-level operators. Jeff’s teaching technique isn’t barking orders and treating you like a recruit. He is a two-time runner-up competitor in the North American Sniper Championship, Grand Master USPSA and Steel Challenge PCC shooter, and Master  Limited Pistol USPSA shooter.

His unique approach is based on positive reinforcement. We get numerous students who have said they were worried about taking a class from a bunch of SWAT guys but were pleasantly surprised at how nice, calm, and FUN the instructors were.

As a seasoned firearms instructor, Fabio teaches civilian and law enforcement classes all over the country. Fabio is a sponsored pistol shooter for Team Beretta, and on the pro staff for rifle at Modern Materiel. As a firm believer that people are their own first line of defense, Fabio founded My Own Defender LLC whose mission is to equip busy people with the necessary skills to defend themselves, protect their loved ones, and survive trauma or disaster. To that end Fabio has helped countless gun owners acquire the appropriate knowledge and skills to learn when and how to deploy a force multiplier such as a firearm. In addition, Fabio is a Krav Maga black belt, BJJ student, and has taught self-defense to everyday people who understand the need for empty hand skills. He is a strong education professional having attained a second Master’s degree, this time focused in Security Management from the University of Denver. Fabio is a USCCA, NRA, and DOJ certified instructor and is sought after for his expertise in performance shooting, red dot pistol instruction, as well as aiwb carry methods.
